Scenes from books #1
I can see Finnick’s eyes, green in the moonlight. I can see them as clear as day. Almost like a cat’s, with a strange reflective quality. Maybe because they are shiny with tears. “No,” he says, “I can’t carry them both. My arms aren’t working.” It’s true. His arms jerk uncontrollably at his sides. His hands are empty. Of his three tridents, only one remains, and it’s in Peeta’s hands. “I’m sorry, Mags. I can’t do it.”

This is fucked up
if you couldn’t SEE how fucked up this is, let me put this into even more perspective for you.
a male with no high school education still makes more than a female with 9th-12th grade education (no diploma).
a male who is a high school graduate still makes more than a female with an associate’s degree.
a male with a bachelor’s degree only makes about ~$2000 less than a female with a fucking doctorate’s degree.
tell me again why feminism isn’t important.
I am personally offended to the highest degree
Using elements from or to be inspired by another culture is not wrong, but we have to keep in mind the historical and social context between the cultures. Is the incorporation of elements from another culture marginalizing them? Perpetuating cultural stereotypes? Insulting?
P.S. I grew up in an environment without much diversity in ethnicity, so it’s only in recent years that I start to really learn more about racism, prejudice and respecting other cultures. To me, it’s not too politically correct, it’s trying to learn as times change.
(TW: eating disorders, anti-gay slurs, cissexism, misogyny, all sorts of douchebaggery)
This is my new least favorite website. From their “About Me”
"Return Of Kings is a blog for heterosexual, masculine men. It’s meant for a small but vocal collection of men in America today who believe men should be masculine and women should be feminine.
ROK aims to usher the return of the masculine man in a world where masculinity is being increasingly punished and shamed in favor of creating an androgynous and politically-correct society that allows women to assert superiority and control over men. Sadly, yesterday’s masculinity is today’s misogyny. The site intends to be a safe space on the web for those men who don’t agree with the direction that Western culture is headed. Click here to send an email to the team.
Women and homosexuals are prohibited from commenting here. They will be immediately banned.”
they should be fucking shot
people who should be castrated
they should not be shot. nor castrated. think about it.
they should be smothered in fucking love and compassion. possibly the only way they’ll ever snap out of it.
$50 says if you castrate/shoot them they’re bound to just build a nastier website.
don’t perpetuate the cycle. rise.
Feminism is definitely not trying to control or be superior to anyone or anything.
We believe women should be respected as individuals and not be forced into any expectation of what women should be like. This is true for any gender. Masculinity and femininity should all be embraced, as well as other traits of human being.
